Have you found a Swarm of
Honey Bees?
Honey
Bees swarm naturally. It is their way or making new colonies.
When they leave the beehive, they settle
in a tree or on the side of a wall. They can stay there
for up to 2 or 3 days while they look for a new home.
The
swam will be as large as a football or even bigger and
will contain
may thousands of bees.
Swarms are not dangerous but you should keep
children away until a beekeeper arrives to take them away

The

runs a swarm collection service.
If you find a swarm of bees in the area shown on this map,
contact our Swarm Officer:

He
will ask a local beekeeper to come and take the bees away.

Please note that we can only collect swarms that are easy to access
in trees, bushes or outsides of buildings. We cannot
take away honey bees that have already started to build their nest
inside a building.
